Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you’ve been celebrating with loved ones, warm homes, and lots of food. After Black Friday shopping, fuel back up with these recipes for repurposing your Thanksgiving leftovers that don’t taste like last night’s dinner.

Unknown-10

You’ll forget it was ever yesterday’s dinner with this Smokey Bacon and Turkey Chowder from I Breathe, I’m Hungry. Best part? This chowder is gluten-free and free of refined carbs, so you don’t have to worry about going for seconds.

Pie overdose can lead to pseudo-hangovers on Black Friday morning, so these Cheesy Leftover Mashed Potato Pancakes from Just a Taste will help balance you out again by putting together savory ingredients into quick and simple pancakes (let your younger cousins help make these as long as you keep an eye on the oil).

Unknown-12

Take things in a different direction with spicy Turkey Enchiladas from Gimme Some Oven. The fresh ingredients on top will take your mind off of casseroles and elastic waistbands, and these enchiladas pair great with cayenne sweet potatoes or green chili spiked stuffing.

If you overkilled on stuffing and ended up with more than you can manage, try out these Cheesy Stuffing Broccoli Casserole from Brooklyn Farm Girl that adds rice and broccoli to take your stuffing to a new level.

Turkey-Shepherds-Pie-3-The-Hopeless-Housewife

Turkey Shepherd’s Pie from The Hopeless Housewife puts together your leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, and veggies for a comforting fall dish (you can also put your green bean casserole in here). Serve in individual bakeware or family style.

Turkey-leftover-pho-HonestlyYUM

You’ve been convinced to save the turkey bones for stock, and now what? Go for a completely non-Thanksgiving flavor by making Turkey Pho (pronounced “fuh” like “duh”) from Honestly Yum. While the market may be out of cranberries, sweet potatoes, and pie crusts, there is plenty of rice noodles, bean sprouts, basil, and hot peppers.

Of course, when in doubt, you can always make a Thanksgiving sandwich. No matter how strange it seems, every dish seems to work together between two slices of bread for a turkey-cranberry-sweet potato-stuffing-mashed potato-green bean-gravy sandwich.
