Every outfit can be accessorized with necklaces, rings, and bracelets, but the quickest way to have every look ready to go is with nail art. Frequent trips to the salon can add up quickly, and knowing how to do a fun leopard nail art print can help cut down on costs. We broke down step by step how to achieve a manicure that screams me-ow!
Start by cleaning your nails with a soft brush, cutting and filing as necessary, and applying a base coat.
Apply your base color. We used Rollin’ in Cashmere by OPI from the new Gwen Stefani Holiday Collection. The slightly translucent yellow-gold required three coats to be totally opaque and shine bright.
Using a small tipped tool (metal nail art tool, toothpick, or our preference: short bamboo skewer), begin making assorted crescents, imperfect circles, and dots with a darker color. We used Love is Hot and Coal by OPI, which is also from the new Gwen Stefani Holiday Collection. Love is Hot and Coal is a dark brown with hints of deep cherry that gave our leopard print some romantic warmth.
Your leopard print should not be perfectly symmetrical. The best part about this design is that flaws look like they’re meant to be there, so you don’t have to worry about being a nail art expert.
When you’re done, look out for thick bubbles or pools of lacquer first, then allow your design a few minutes to dry before applying a top coat to seal in your new artwork.
The OPI Wrapped Wild for the Holidays set includes both of the colors we used for our nails and a free printed infinity scarf to match your new manicure! You can find the set at drugstores and salons, or on Drugstore.com for only $16.95.
Thank you OPI for sending us the Wrapped Wild for the Holidays set to try!
